The Science Place in Fair Park

The Science Place in Fair Park in Dallas has been honored with the "2002 Best Museum for Families" by Dallas Child Magazine.  The Science Place is one of the most compelling and unique museums in the Southwest United States. Offering three distinct areas of specialization (exhibit halls, a planetarium, and an IMAX? Theater) as well as hosting the oldest science preschool in the southwest.

Directions to the Science Place in Fair Park:

 From I-30 heading east:
Take exit 47A (2nd Avenue/Fair Park), bear right as you exit and continue to Martin Luther King Blvd. Turn left on Martin Luther King Blvd. to enter the park. (The Science Place is on your left as you enter.)

From I-30 heading west:
Take exit 47A (1st Avenue/Fair Park), bear right as you exit and continue straight ahead to Fair Park. At the park, turn right on Parry Avenue and continue to Martin Luther King Blvd.
Turn left on Martin Luther King Blvd. to enter the park. (The Science Place is on your left as you enter.)

From N. Central Expressway (U.S. 75):
Head south to I-45 and follow directions below.
From I-45 heading north or south:
Take Exit 283/Martin Luther King Blvd. follow the signs to Fair Park, and enter straight ahead. (The Science Place is to your left as you enter.)

Time Saver Directions from north of town:
To avoid construction on North Central Expressway (US 75): Take N.Central Expressway (US 75) south to the LBJ Freeway (I-635) east. Exit to I-30 west (toward Dallas). Follow I-30 west instructions above. Or take the Dallas North Tollway south to I-35 south to I-30 east. Follow I-30 east instructions above.
